My name is Michael Durnin and I am a graduate of The University of Houston and completed Dental School at the University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio. I have practiced in Sandpoint, ID from 1994 until 2016.
My wife Deborah and I have been involved in mission dentistry for over 20 years. I worked for many years in the mission field in Mexico. I also served as the dental director for Alternative Missions in the Bay Islands of Honduras from 2005 to 2012. For the last two years we have been involved in a mission project in the Philippines. We have had extensive experience putting short term mission teams together to provide a wide array of services including ministry, primary and adult education, nutrition education, dental and medical care, construction and program development.
We returned to Idaho in June of this year to join Dr. Shane Newton, DMD in his McCall, Idaho and Grangeville, Idaho Practices. I have over 30 years’ experience in implant dentistry, oral surgery, and reconstructive dentistry. I have lectured nationally and internationally on implant dentistry and nutrition. I have also done consulting work throughout the country for many years.
My wife and I have 5 children, 11 grandchildren and they are without question the light of our lives. Who knew grand-parenting could be so much fun.
